Set Screw Mounting

  • Make sure the support for the bearing unit is rigid and the surface where the unit is going to be mounted is clean and flat.
  • Make sure that the end of the set screw is not protruding into the bore of the bearing insert.
  • Make sure that the end of the shaft is free of any burrs.
  • Insert the shaft into the bore of the bearing.
  • Do not strike the seal or subject the unit to any shock loads.
  • Mount the housing using the appropriate bolts
  • Insert a wrench securely into the hole of the set screw, and tighten the two screws uniformly.
